Stock that counts itself
Materials and ready-made stock, counted as the work is done, so you see what’s running low before it runs out.

Any material, in its own unit
Vinyl by the metre, sheets, boxes, ink by the litre: give each material a unit and, if you like, a colour and a low level. Running low is shown in words beside the count.
Rolls and offcuts
Measure a roll once and every finished job takes off what it used, from your products’ rules. Offcuts are kept against their colour and offered on the board when a job would fit.
Ready-made stock
Keep finished products by product, colour and location. Add what you made, which takes its materials, or what you counted, and take from stock when an order comes in.
Make more
Set a low and a keep level on anything you hold. When a count runs low, press Make more: it adds a job to the board to make enough to get back to your keep level, and the count goes up when that job is done.
Undo gives it back
Change a job back from Done and what it used goes back on the shelf. Every change to stock is recorded, so nothing is counted twice.
